Commonly Asked Questions
I plan to apply for KidSport funding how do I go about doing so?
Contact the Registrar to obtain the appropriate paperwork via e-mail or attend the in-person registration date. You can still register via our online system by creating an account for the primary parent and signing up your athlete(s) for the appropriate group. When asked about your form of payment, click on the "KidSport" voucher payment option. The full fee amount will still appear as you complete your registration however you will not be asked to provide a source of payment.
It is your responsibility to advise the Registrar of when you have submitted your application to KidSport and then Calgary Boys Fastpitch (CBF) will follow up with KidSport regarding the status of your application for funding. If your application is turned down by KidSport, you will be required to provide alternate payment to complete registration. Apply early to confirm funding prior to the start of the season.

My child has played Learn to Play for several years now, can he/she move up to the U10 level early? What about other levels?
CBF does encourage families to contact the Registrar or President about registering their experienced softball players in a higher level if the family and player feel that this is appropriate given the player's level of play in the previous year. However, the CBF board and coaches will monitor the player during indoor practices, evaluations and at the start of the season for any indicators of concern and discuss these concerns with the family.
Is there a fee if my son has to withdraw?
If the withdrawal is on or before April 1, 2024, 75% of the registration fee will be reimbursed. After this date, there will be no refunds (all fees are sent to Calgary Minor Softball, along with the costs of fields, uniforms, and pictures. Some exceptions may apply, so please contact the registrar to discuss.
